Carrie Newcomer’s “Room at the Table”

April 2, 2014

Carrie Newcomer, noted folk artist, released a new album and companion book of essays and poetry yesterday, April 1, 2014.  The album, A Permeable Life, features some great new music including today’s featured link, “Room at the Table.”  The companion book (by the same title) just arrived at the CFT office, but a glance through indicates that readers won’t be disappointed.

We’ll be reviewing the album and the book in the near future here on Christian Feminism Today.  For now, you might enjoy reading Erin Lane’s interview with Carrie on her Holy Hellions blog.  Carrie’s own website has tour dates, lyrics, music, and more.

Carrie is a favorite of many CFT members, and she was the featured musical performer at our 2008 conference in Indianapolis.  Several reviews of her previous material are available in the Music Reviews section of Christian Feminism Today.
