The Divine Feminine Version of the New Testament Published

November 4, 2014

After five and-a-half years of work, the Divine Feminine Version of the New Testament has been completed and is freely available on the website of The Christian Godde Project. This inclusive-language Bible, unlike any other Bible, portrays Godde using feminine instead of masculine pronouns.

Interested readers can download books of the New Tesament as individual PDFs, one large bookmarked PDF, or as a complete Microsoft Word document. The DFV was published under a Creative Commons copyright so it’s available to be adapted and changed into other versions if you’re so inclined.

All 27 books of the New Testament, along with the Gospels of Thomas and Mary, are available as free downloads here.

Lē Weaver identifies as a non-binary writer, musician, and feminist spiritual seeker. Their work draws attention to: the ongoing trauma experienced by women and LGBTQIA people in this “Christian” society; Christ/Sophia’s desire that each of us move deeper into our own practice of non-violence; and the desperate need to move away from an androcentric conception of God.
