Women still face external obstacles to full equality, but many of the biggest obstacles (for those of us in the West) have been conquered by the hard work of the generations that have come before us.
In this piece on The Shriver Report, Elizabeth Gilbert claims that for most of us, the last and biggest obstacle is the internalized oppression that we act out on ourselves. Her advice to us is to get out of our own way!
