Time to Sit Down and Listen to the Marginalized

July 17, 2017

David and Constantino Khalaf have some powerful words to share in their July 10, 2017, Modern Kinship blog post on the Patheos progressive Christian channel.

“We must now sit and listen to those who, through lack of privilege in the world, have learned to thrive in the Mode of Love. God’s new lessons will be taught to us by the marginalized: LGBTQ people, people of color, those forced to flee the lands of their birth. And among them, who better to learn from than women? They, after all, have been pushed to the sidelines even within those marginalized groups.”

Read “Christian Men: Sit Down.”

And while you are reading their blog, skip the comments (really) and read their next post instead, “Dear Eugene Peterson, We Will Read Your Books.” The article is refreshing in its compassionate approach to Peterson’s lightning-fast reversal of support for marriage between people of the same biological sex.
