Does Social Media Help or Hurt Feminism?

The internet offers a variety of ways for feminists to connect and share information, especially with social media.  But the internet has become a dangerous place for women who choose to speak out, and it turns out that the ensuing conflict is not always with people who oppose feminism; it can be between feminists themselves.

The National Public Radio show “Tell Me More” addressed this conflict in a story titled, “Mean Girls Online: Can We Draw A Line In Social Media?”  You can listen to an interview between host Michel Martin and several writers, or read the full transcript and highlights.
