The Trouble with Sovereign Grace Ministries

May 30, 2014

We tend to think of sexual abuse by faith leaders mainly in terms of the scandals that have plagued the Roman Catholic Church.  But recent events have proved that’s not a complete picture.  An evangelical Christian group (also with an all powerful, all male leadership and clergy) has admitted to covering up abuse perpetrated by one of their faith leaders.

“Last week, Sovereign Grace Ministries (SGM) leaders admitted under oath of covering up Nathaniel Morales’ sexual abuse of minors.  This is stunning, especially after two years of ongoing denial through public statements of innocence.”

Today’s links provide an in depth look at the people and organizations involved in the Sovereign Grace Ministries scandal.
