“We Are the Other” on SheLoves Magazine

October 22, 2014

SheLoves Magazine publishes stories by and about women of faith on their website. Here’s how they describe their vision (view more on their about page):

“We dare to dream and be an expression of God’s feminine heart on the earth. We are a growing tribe with a [deep breath] big scary vision: to gather stories, hopes, dreams and ideas of women who Love, from around the world.”

This week SheLoves is running a series of posts around the theme “We Are the Other.” There is a lot of delicious material to enjoy, with posts by Esther Emery, Dianne Anderson, Dorcas Cheng-Tozun, and others.  Maybe you can find a few minutes to settle in and read this fantastic series.

“We Are the Other” series index is here.

Lē Weaver identifies as a non-binary writer, musician, and feminist spiritual seeker. Their work draws attention to: the ongoing trauma experienced by women and LGBTQIA people in this “Christian” society; Christ/Sophia’s desire that each of us move deeper into our own practice of non-violence; and the desperate need to move away from an androcentric conception of God.
