J.K. Rowling, author of the very popular Harry Potter books, let readers know (7 years ago) that Albus Dumbledore, the Hogwarts headmaster, was gay.

Recently a fan tweeted Rowling with a question.

  1. In my experience, when somebody refers to a person as, “a gay,” it indicates that the speaker may not be ready for a fair-minded conversation about sexuality.
