Ken Sehested is the editor/author of the online journal, prayer&politiks. He served as founding director of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America (1984) and as founding co-pastor of Circle of Mercy Congregation in Asheville, NC (2001). An award-winning activist and author, his most recent books are Peace Primer II: Quotes from Jewish, Christian and Islamic Scripture & Tradition (published by the Baptist Peace Fellowship) and two collections of litanies, prayers and poems, In the Land of the Living and In the Land of the Willing (Wipf & Stock).

Titus 2:1-15—Household Organization and “Healthy Teaching”

Lesson 21: "The entire chapter concerns five groups of people in the churches of Crete: older men, older women, young women, young men, and slaves of these households. The slaves presumably also represent a range of ages and genders, but they all have the same role: to 'give satisfaction in every respect [to their owners] . . .not to talk back, not to pilfer'(vv. 9-10)."
