Sure, you’ve heard of Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, but have you heard of their contemporary, Matilda Joslyn Gage?
“[Journalist and activist] Gloria Steinem says Matilda was the woman who was ahead of the women who were ahead of their time,” said Sally Roesch Wagner, founder and former executive director of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation.
